I highly recommend Mi Casa, Tu Casa Spanish with Elizabeth Barnes-Gutierrez. She is a wonderful and dedicated teacher. Her schedule is very flexible and will accommodate your lifestyle. Her learning style is fun and creative, as she uses different ways such as reading, creative writing and video to help you learn the language. She is very authentic and is a native speaker of the language, so there’s is no doubt that you will be in great hands with her as your teacher!!!!

Hi!, So excited that you’re starting your own school. My experience with you was and is very positive. You customized my learning to my needs by using movies, TV, and different types of books. I enjoyed the conversational piece. It really helped me to have real-life conversations in Spanish. Going to CDMX with you was very impactful because it took everything you taught me and made it real life. I hope this helps,

Hi, We are very grateful to have you as our teacher. Mark and I learned so much and I my self-learned more in depth about the Spanish Language. Thank you for all the time you put into us. I can see a difference in Mark's learning and how he understands things. We have a long way to go yet, but it will be worth it in the end.

Me Casa Tu Casa has been teaching my two kids and me to speak Spanish for the past 12 months. The journey to learn a language has been made so enjoyable with the expert teaching of Senora Elizabeth. Not only is her teaching skills extremely impressive regardless of your speaking level or age, she makes the learning so much fun. My kids and I genuinely look forward to our weekly lessons and I would highly recommend Me Casa Tu Casa to any one wanting to learn Spanish regardless of level. There is no better at teaching than Senora Elizabeth !!!. Ryan Hawken

Why are the levels divided into two 30-hour sublevels?
Traditional language courses often leave wide gaps between broad levels like A1 and A2. By dividing each CEFR level into two strategic 30-hour modules, we offer a structured, achievable roadmap. This approach helps you track progress clearly, reinforce essential skills, and build steady confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
How long does it take to complete a full CEFR level?
Each sub-level requires approximately 30 active study hours, meaning a complete level (e.g., A1.1 + A1.2) takes around 60 hours. Depending on your chosen weekly schedule—whether intensive or regular pace—most students complete a full level within 8 to 12 weeks of consistent study.
How do I know which sublevel (e.g., B1.1 vs B1.2) is right for me?
Before enrolling, you’ll complete a brief placement assessment that evaluates speaking, writing, and comprehension skills. This ensures you start at the exact sublevel matching your abilities, preventing you from repeating familiar concepts or getting placed in a class that feels too advanced.
Can I jump straight to advanced sublevels like C1 or C2?
Yes, provided your placement evaluation shows readiness. Our high-level modules focus on stylistic precision, professional writing, complex grammar, and idiomatic nuance. If you already possess strong intermediate skills, you can jump right into our C-level modules to polish your communication.
Do I get a certificate after completing each sublevel?
Yes! Upon successfully completing each 30-hour module and its assessment, you receive a digital milestone certificate. Completing both sublevels (e.g., B2.1 and B2.2) grants you an official Level Completion Certificate documenting your CEFR-aligned language achievement for work or study.
